Welcome to Jim Burk's home in cyberspace! This is where he shares photos of his family, fishing trips, and wine events. Jim retired from Raytheon in 1999, and is currently working as a consulting engineer. When not working, his main interests are his family, saltwater fishing as well as drinking and collecting fine wine. He is also a student at Orange Coast College, majoring in photography. Jim and his wife Kimi have two sons, Robert and William, and a daughter, Lisa. Robert has twin boys, Tyler and Nicholas. Lisa and Chad have a son, Henry. All of them live in Orange County, California. The rest of his immediate family all live in Northern California, right in the heart of wine country. His Mom and two sisters in Windsor, and his brother in San Rafael

With the Pacific Ocean right down the street, Jim does a lot of saltwater fishing. He has a 23' Trophy for local fishing, and does tuna fishing on charter boats out of San Diego. For years he was a "Charter Master", but now heads out on someone elses charters. In addition he makes a trip up to Sitka, Alaska every August for salmon, halibut, ling cod and rock fish. He is currently the photographer for the Orange County Wine Society. For some events he will post some extra pictures of OCWS events on this site. In addition he attends various "Offlines" with many members of wine related Bulletin Boards. Some of these pictures are also posted here. Both Jim and Lisa love to cook. She is a Culinary Arts major at Orange Coast College. With a large, recently remodeled kitchen available, and a large supply of fresh fish, they use, and develop a lot of recipes.
